Entrusted by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China, the China Machinery Industry Federation assembled an expert panel to conduct an on-site assessment and review of Zhejiang Engineering Institute’s qualifications for pressure vessel design licensing. The scope of this application encompasses high-pressure vessels, Class III low- and medium-pressure vessels, and spherical storage tanks (A1, A2, A3). The review team thoroughly examined Zhejiang Engineering Institute’s quality management system, quality‑management practices, administrative procedures, and technical specifications; conducted random sampling of representative designs; administered examinations to all personnel engaged in pressure vessel design; and presided over public defenses. Following a two‑day evaluation, the review panel concluded that the Institute’s current application complies with the requirements set forth in the “Rules on Licensing for the Design of Pressure Vessels and Pressure Piping” and meets the criteria for renewal, and recommended submitting the case to the State Administration for Market Regulation.
