On September 26, 2014, engineers from the Beijing Branch of EagleView Systems (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. visited the Zhejiang Engineering Institute and held a technical exchange with staff from the Process Engineering Department and the Information Archives Division on the application of CADWorx and CAESARII software. During the meeting, the EagleView engineers addressed each issue identified during project design, provided several practical tools, and shared insights into how other design firms utilize these two software packages. Since introducing CADWorx in December 2013, the Zhejiang Engineering Institute has completed preparatory work—including personnel training, the development of a standardized component library, and customized drawing generation—and successfully concluded its first three-dimensional design project this September: the denitrification ammonia system for boiler equipment at the Huaneng Luntai 2×350 MW cogeneration plant. This milestone marks the institute’s mastery of a second 3D design software, following SmartPlant, and paves the way for fully integrated 3D design. It will enable the institute to further enhance design accuracy, reduce construction costs for clients, and deliver comprehensive 3D models that serve as foundational data for operation and maintenance, personnel training, and precise management of spare parts, thereby facilitating the realization of smart factories.
