Zhejiang Academy of Engineering has, for the first time, won the First Prize for Outstanding Engineering Design.

  Recently, the China Petroleum and Chemical Engineering Survey and Design Association announced that the “100,000‑ton‑per‑year Caprolactam Project of Shandong Dongju Chemical Co., Ltd.,” designed by the Zhejiang Engineering Institute, has been awarded the First Prize for Outstanding Engineering Design in the 2014 chemical industry. This year’s design evaluation was conducted across the national petroleum and chemical design sector, resulting in the selection of 43 projects receiving first-, second-, and third‑class awards, including six First Prizes.

  This award marks the first time that the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering has received the industry’s highest design honor. Organized by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Survey and Design Association, the award aims to advance technological innovation in the petroleum and chemical survey and design sector, while guiding and encouraging enterprises and engineering professionals in this field to deliver survey and design projects of superior quality, cutting-edge technical standards, and strong overall performance.
