On the afternoon of February 9, the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering held an experience-sharing seminar for personnel traveling abroad in the Sanqiang Hall.
At the meeting, two technical professionals who undertook a work‑exchange program in Japan in 2014 presented thorough summaries and meticulously prepared reports, sharing with their colleagues their experiences during their six‑month overseas assignment, as well as the insights, takeaways, and reflections it inspired for their design work. They candidly acknowledged that, through both professional collaboration and daily life, they had enhanced their language skills, gained first‑hand understanding of the operational mechanisms and best practices of foreign design firms, and—by aligning these observations with the company’s current working conditions—conducted in‑depth analyses and comparisons, ultimately putting forward a series of thoughtful considerations and recommendations.
At the conclusion of the briefing, General Manager Zhu Yueting summarized the experience-sharing session for employees working overseas: Zhejiang Engineering Institute has dispatched specialized and highly skilled technical personnel abroad through project‑based collaborations, enabling them to engage in on‑site work. By working side by side with their international counterparts, they have broadened their horizons, refined their professional philosophies and methodologies, and gained valuable insights into the advanced technologies and practices of foreign design firms. The recent exchange program in Japan yielded notably satisfactory results. Moving forward, all departments and disciplines are urged to give due consideration to the reflections and recommendations raised during the session, strengthen relevant initiatives, enhance the company’s overall capabilities, and lay a solid foundation for achieving its medium- and long-term strategic goals. More than fifty participants, including institute leadership, department managers, deputy chief engineers, and all design managers of the company, attended the briefing.
