To better achieve the company’s annual performance objectives, fully motivate all departments to demonstrate greater enthusiasm, initiative, and innovation, and further refine the company’s performance management system, the Zhejiang Engineering Institute recently introduced a performance‑management assessment framework, marking the transition of its organization‑wide performance‑management efforts into the implementation phase.

Given the unique nature of the Zhejiang Engineering Institute’s industry, this performance‑evaluation system links individual and departmental objectives by establishing key performance indicators. It integrates both common and job‑specific metrics—such as compliance with rules and regulations, fulfillment of job responsibilities, and innovation—and implements a dual‑tier assessment approach. In addition to tying evaluation outcomes to monthly performance bonuses, they are also factored into the annual performance scores of both individuals and departments, with a specified weighting. Ultimately, these scores influence salary levels, promotion opportunities, professional development, and other career‑related considerations, thereby motivating employees.

The introduction of the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering’s performance appraisal system has further clarified the work assignments, responsibilities and authorities, and job requirements for each department and position. It also sets forth new expectations regarding compliance with rules and regulations, as well as innovation and development. By continuously refining and improving the organization-wide performance management framework, the system seeks to fully leverage the incentive‑driving role of performance management and promote a comprehensive enhancement of the enterprise’s overall performance.
