On the afternoon of May 12, more than sixty third-year chemical engineering students from Zhejiang University, accompanied by their faculty advisors, visited the Zhejiang Engineering Institute for an on-site educational session. The Institute dispatched three experts, including Chief Engineer Wei Mingguang, to deliver lectures on the current state and future trends of chemical engineering design, modern design methodologies and their impact on improving quality and efficiency, as well as the career benefits of mastering contemporary design tools. Following the lectures, the students toured the Institute’s offices, gaining a deeper understanding of its organizational structure and operational processes.
As a teaching base of Zhejiang University, the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering places great emphasis on field-based instruction. Such experiential learning enables graduates to gain an early understanding of the key considerations in chemical engineering design and the professional and interpersonal competencies required of chemical engineers, thereby providing concrete guidance to current students in shaping their career paths.
