On the morning of August 7, 2015, Chen Wei and Li Jing, two deputy directors of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Shangcheng District, Hangzhou, responsible for urban construction and environmental protection, paid a visit to the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering.
Accompanied by the company’s general manager and chief engineer, the two leaders first toured the company’s office premises. They then held a symposium, during which they listened to and gained an understanding of the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering’s historical background, its current transformation and development efforts, as well as the challenges the company faces in its ongoing growth.
The two leaders fully endorsed the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering’s development model and expressed their gratitude for the company’s longstanding contributions to the economic development of Shangcheng District and to public‑interest initiatives. In response to the Academy’s desire to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with local enterprises, the two leaders pledged their full support, committing to establish relevant platforms and information channels to facilitate such collaboration. Deputy Director Chen Wei also provided a detailed overview of the Shangcheng Industrial Park located in northern Hangzhou and proactively offered to serve as a bridge, helping the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering forge partnerships with environmentally‑focused and other related companies within the park.
Finally, Zhu Yueting, General Manager of the company, on behalf of the Zhejiang Engineering Institute, expressed gratitude to the two leaders for their care and support, as well as to the governments and departments at all levels in Shangcheng District for their longstanding backing of the company’s development. He stated that the Zhejiang Engineering Institute will continue to strengthen its capabilities through transformation and upgrading, while further enhancing exchanges and cooperation with local enterprises to achieve mutually beneficial growth and make due contributions to the development of Shangcheng District.
