To implement the spirit of the tax reform initiative to replace business tax with value-added tax, effectively mitigate tax risks, and further enhance corporate management, the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering organized a specialized training session on April 27, bringing together more than twenty participants, including company executives, finance personnel, staff from the General Contracting Department, representatives from relevant functional departments, and heads of various specialized divisions.

The “business tax to VAT” reform touches upon all aspects of the company’s operations. Particularly at a time when the Zhejiang Engineering Institute is actively expanding its engineering general contracting business, this reform will profoundly shape construction‑market contracting models and operational performance. The company has responded proactively and adjusted its management approach accordingly. Through this specialized training session, participants gained a systematic understanding of how the “business tax to VAT” policy affects tax burdens, revenues, and profits, as well as the specific measures required to address these changes. Following the event, the company will further strengthen its study and analysis of the policy, place greater emphasis on VAT invoice management, conduct thorough preliminary assessments of key issues, and continue to refine its organizational and accountability frameworks. In preparation for the implementation of the “business tax to VAT” reform on May 1, the company is ensuring adequate readiness to ensure a smooth and orderly transition through the reform period.
