In the recently released list of Zhejiang Province’s Outstanding Engineering Consulting Achievements, published by the Zhejiang Provincial Engineering Consulting Industry Association, the feasibility study report for the lithium hexafluorophosphate project of Juhua Group, designed by the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering, was awarded second prize, marking significant progress in the company’s high-end project design capabilities.

“The lithium hexafluorophosphate industry is highly confidential, with complex process technologies and stringent requirements for auxiliary facilities. With no publicly available data from existing producers to draw upon, the project team conducted a detailed comparative analysis of the project’s site selection, technical方案, process configuration, equipment selection, utility systems, market trends, and investment risks,” explained Jiang Wei, the project’s design manager. The production of lithium hexafluorophosphate demands meticulous control; its raw materials include several hazardous substances, and it places high demands on supporting utilities, presenting unprecedented challenges for the project team. To address these difficulties, Zhejiang Engineering Institute leveraged its many years of experience in fluorine chemistry and fine chemical engineering. After carefully evaluating the operational performance of the client’s existing pilot‑scale facility, the institute proposed a viable solution that not only meets the requirements of industrial-scale production but also seeks to minimize capital investment.

Electronic chemicals maintain a high growth rate worldwide, making them the fastest‑growing segment within the fine chemicals industry. Since entering the electronic chemicals sector in 2012, Zhejiang Engineering Institute has consistently adapted to market dynamics, progressing steadily from its early stages over the past six years. The institute has deepened its expertise in developing cutting‑edge technologies for high‑end products, achieving incremental technological breakthroughs in premium fine chemical applications. This has helped address the existing imbalance of insufficient high‑end offerings and excessive low‑end capacity, thereby providing robust support for the green development of Juhua Group’s fluorosilicone circular‑economy value chain.
