On the afternoon of February 17, 2017, the Zhejiang Academy of Engineering held its first shareholders’ meeting of 2017 and the eleventh session of the third board of directors at the Juhua Hotel in Hangzhou. The meeting reviewed and approved matters related to the company’s 2016 operational report and 2017 work plan, as well as the 2016 financial analysis report and the 2017 financial budget report.

At the meeting, Chairman Tang Yueming fully commended the company’s achievements in operational management for 2016: both revenue and profit, as well as the value of design‑consulting contracts signed, reached record highs; internal management continued to advance across the board, with early results evident in talent development; and the general contracting business achieved significant breakthroughs. He also emphasized that, in the next phase, the company should prioritize the following four areas: first, further refine the corporate governance structure and strengthen the management of its subsidiaries and branch institutes, while effectively addressing longstanding legacy issues; second, continuously improve all management systems and ensure their effective implementation; third, intensify efforts to cultivate core competencies, building on established traditional industries while developing new strategic strengths; and fourth, enhance the management of key initiatives and priority projects, establishing a system of thematic analysis reports to inform decision‑making. Chairman Tang noted that Zhejiang Engineering Institute has entered a virtuous cycle of growth and that, in the coming period, it must further innovate its mechanisms to elevate the company’s development to a new level.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman Tang Yueming, with members of the Supervisory Board in attendance.
