On the afternoon of July 5, 2016, the Party Committee of the Engineering Design Company convened a commemorative meeting marking the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and an awards ceremony for “July 1.” The meeting was chaired by Cao Xiong, Assistant to the General Manager.
The meeting began with the reading of the company Party Committee’s commendation documents, which awarded the First and Fourth Party Branches the title of “Outstanding Party Branches” for 2015, and recognized Comrades Mao Hongzheng, Liu Chengyong, Lai Xiaomin, and Jin Miaoyan as “Outstanding Communist Party Members” of the company for 2015, presenting them with certificates of honor. In addition, the meeting also honored the company’s advanced teams and individuals in publicity and reporting for 2015.
At the meeting, Zhu Yueting, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, delivered a brief address. Secretary Zhu began by reviewing with all party members the key points of Comrade Xi Jinping’s July 1st speech, emphasizing that studying and implementing the spirit of the speech should be a central component of the “Two Studies, One Action” campaign. He urged everyone to study it diligently, gain a deep understanding, and ensure that the spirit of the speech is promptly and accurately communicated to every party member and cadre, thereby swiftly igniting a wave of learning, publicity, and implementation. He stressed the importance of profoundly grasping the profound significance of “remain true to our original aspiration and keep moving forward,” thoroughly comprehending and earnestly putting into practice the essence and practical requirements of the “Eight Upholdings,” and further strengthening the political awareness, overall‑situation awareness, core‑leadership awareness, and alignment awareness of the company’s party members and cadres. In doing so, he called for aligning thoughts and actions firmly with the central government’s decisions and deployments, as well as with the company’s core mission of transformation and development.
Secretary Zhu Yueting emphasized the spirit of the “Six Grasps and Six Promotions” speech delivered by Deputy Secretary Zhu Linhui of Juhua Group at the Group’s July 1st Commemoration and Awards Ceremony, and outlined the direction and objectives for Party building within the Engineering Design Company. He urged the company’s Party members and cadres to study and benchmark against Chairman Mao’s “Methods of Work of Party Committees,” while adapting these principles to the company’s specific circumstances to refine their working methods and enhance their managerial acumen. He also called for addressing weaknesses and strengthening capabilities through the “Two Studies, One Action” campaign, fully leveraging the exemplary and leading role of Party members. Furthermore, he stressed integrating Party building into every stage of the company’s transformation and development—using Party building to drive growth and using growth to reinforce Party building—and aligning the “Two Studies, One Action” initiative with the successful implementation of the company’s transformation strategy. In doing so, they should overcome the adverse impacts of a sluggish market, conscientiously implement the company’s strategic plan, strive to improve quality and efficiency, and accelerate the company’s transformation and upgrading.
