The Hangzhou Asian Games is a rare and significant event. For young employees of the engineering design company, representing the Group in volunteer service at the Games is not only a glorious political mission but also an excellent opportunity to foster professional growth, broaden their horizons, and deepen their knowledge.

The 100-day pledge rally further strengthened our resolve to engage in volunteer service.

“Asian Games, we are ready!” resounded throughout the venue in a series of powerful, resolute chants. Juhua 3 On the third day after joining the program, the volunteers participated via video link in the 100-Day Pledge Rally hosted by the Huanglong Sports Center, which was broadcast simultaneously to sub-venues located in the co-host cities and at each competition venue.

“As a member of Juhua, I feel deeply honored to have been selected as a volunteer for the Asian Games, contributing my small part to the preparation and successful hosting of both the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games. This is not only a great privilege for me but also a profound responsibility,” said Fang Youle, visibly moved. She told us that at the 100-day誓师大会, she was profoundly touched by the unwavering determination of all staff members to deliver a sporting and cultural event in Hangzhou that embodies “Chinese characteristics, Asian flair, and dazzling diversity.”

Cultivate a rigorous and flexible work attitude.

As a member of the Olympic Sports Center venue operations team and a staff member responsible for operational support at the Opening and Closing Ceremony Command Center as well as logistics management for venue transitions, Fang Youle’s primary duties in the early stages involved administrative tasks related to venue operations, including receiving and hosting senior officials, managing the issuance of general supplies, coordinating across various specialized areas, and drafting competition schedules. DRS She works in various roles; though the tasks are complex and demanding, she finds joy in them.

“Participating in the volunteer service for the Hangzhou Asian Games and the Asian Para Games has taught me so much,” she said. Amid her busy work, she gained a thorough and in-depth understanding of the Games’ overall framework, the duties of event volunteers, medical care, and related areas, while also mastering proper etiquette in dealing with others. “Going forward, I will certainly uphold the volunteer spirit of ‘dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress,’ continue to acquire new knowledge and master new skills, and make every effort to be fully prepared to serve this grand event even better.”

Develop a strong, resilient mindset that is unafraid of hardship and obstacles.

Jiang Qingtian and Fang Youle occupy the same position. As a liaison between teams across various domains, he must swiftly clarify the hierarchical relationships and workflows among different tasks and ensure that relevant stakeholders are promptly informed. Since venue staff differ in rank, educational background, personality, and scheduling flexibility, communicating with them requires tailored approaches.

“When I first started working at the Olympic Sports Center Stadium, my inflexible communication style led to a few embarrassing mishaps. But after recognizing my shortcomings and summoning the courage to improve, I’ve made significant progress compared to before,” Jiang Qingtian told me. He explained that whenever he encountered a mistake, he would quietly note it down, vowing never to repeat the same error. By carefully studying the standardized procedures for volunteer management at major sporting events, and by actively participating in training sessions, on-site observations, and practical drills, he has steadily enhanced his ability to deliver professional, standardized, and well‑organized services. Along the way, he gained a deeper understanding of his new role and came to appreciate many nuances of working effectively with others. “Going forward, I will continue to perform my duties with the highest level of professionalism and the most effective communication, contributing even more to the Asian Games,” he added.

Cultivate an iron backbone that dares to shoulder responsibilities and take action.

Jiang Zhengjie, a graduate of Zhejiang University, was assigned to the External Liaison Department, where his primary responsibility was to support both domestic and international staff involved in the event, including technical delegates and referees. His first task was to complete the registration of domestic and foreign technical officials. Given that the registration system was still somewhat rudimentary, much of the work required manual verification and cross-checking. To address this, he proactively used software to process photos that did not meet the requirements, minimizing the need for re‑collection. Meanwhile, gathering information on overseas technical officials involved translating data into multiple languages, which added to the complexity of the job. Undeterred by these challenges, he approached each task with meticulous care and unwavering patience, ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. In the end, the registration process for all international technical officials was successfully completed.

At present, there are still 40 For many days, but the volunteer service will continue until the end of the Asian Para Games. We believe that after going through… 100 After days of volunteer service, Juhua… 3 A young volunteer will surely reap even more of life’s splendor.
