Qinghai Salt Lake Haihong Chemical Co., Ltd. 100 kt/a ADC Blowing Agent Integrated Project
The project is located at the Qarhan Salt Lake in Golmud City, Qinghai Province, within the Golmud Salt Lake Group Industrial Park. Total investment exceeds RMB 1 billion. Notably, the production unit for ADC blowing agent is the largest of its kind worldwide. The scope of this project encompasses caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, hydrazine hydrate, dicyandiamide, azodicarbonamide (ADC), formaldehyde, hexamethylenetetramine, as well as utility and auxiliary facilities. The principal production processes include: the urea‑based method for producing hydrazine hydrate; a combined acid‑free and acid‑catalyzed process for synthesizing dicyandiamide; the chlorine‑oxidation route for manufacturing azodicarbonamide (ADC) blowing agent; methanol oxidation to produce formaldehyde; and the condensation of formaldehyde with ammonia in an alkaline solution to synthesize hexamethylenetetramine.
